Ten years after his previous stint, comedian actor Chris Rock is returning to the Oscar podium next year.
The Madagascar and Top Five performer confirmed his involvement with the illustrious Hollywood ceremony on Twitter earlier today tweeting “Look who’s back”.
The news comes after the 50 year old was reported to have had talks with new Oscar producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin yesterday.
Rock previously presented the Oscars back in 2005 to mixed reviews with some criticising him for being too edgy. You can see his opening monologue below.
On the night itself, he found himself on the receiving end of Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn who ridiculed the comedian for poking fun at Jude Law.
Rock will be following in the footsteps of other returning hosts like Bob Hope, Billy Crystal and Jon Stewart when the the 88th Annual Academy Awards takes place on February 28th 2016.
