Twenty years ago, audiences were left in hysterics by the silly yet hilarious antics of dumb-witted duo Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne in the Farrelly Brothers’ romp Dumb and Dumber.
But while actors Jim Carrey (Liar Liar, The Truman Show) and Jeff Daniels (Speed, The Newsroom) have enjoyed mixed success since then, fans of the 1994 comedy hit will be pleased to know that both men are reprising their iconic roles for the long-awaited sequel Dumb and Dumber To.
The film finally released its official trailer earlier today.
The plot sees the pair having to set off on another lengthy road-trip in order to track down Harry’s long-lost child. The preview provides some humorous moments which include the return of the Mutt Cutts dog van and a cringe-inducing scene involving Lloyd performing sexual stuff on an elderly woman.
Kathleen Turner (Body Heat, Romancing the Stone) and Laurie Holden (The Shield, The Walking Dead) also feature in the sequel which will be released in the UK on December 19th.
