New James Bond film entitled Spectre, Christoph Waltz amongst new cast additions

Two years since the universal success of Skyfall, James Bond fans have been relishing the next film of the much-loved action franchise.

Details of the 24th Bond film have finally been revealed following a special announcement made this morning.

British director Sam Mendes, who helmed Skyfall, has officially confirmed that the new outing will be given the bizarre title of ‘Spectre‘.

He also went on to introduce the journalists and photographers to the film’s cast members.

As many have anticipated, former Hilbre High School student Daniel Craig is back for his fourth outing as 007 spy James Bond.

Also returning from Skyfall are Ralph Fiennes as the new ‘M’, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as ‘Q’ and Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner.

There are also plenty of new additions to the already-talented cast which include Andrew Scott (Sherlock, Pride) as Denbigh and wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) as Mr Hinx.

There are two new Bond ladies, both of whom have provided plenty of eye candy for male audiences over the years. Italian beauty Monica Bellucci (Irreversible, The Matrix trilogy) will be playing Lucia Sciarra while French actress Lea Seydoux (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Blue is the Warmest Colour) has been cast as Madeline Swann.

The biggest signing though is that of two-time Oscar-winning German actor Christoph Waltz (Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained) who will be playing Oberhauser, the potential villain of the film.

A brief plot synopsis has also been released by EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment.

“A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.”

Filming begins on Monday and will take place over the next seven months in London, Rome, Mexico City, Tangier and the Austrian Alps.

Spectre is scheduled for a cinematic release on November 6th 2015.
