While she continues to wait for that solo Black Widow film to be made, Scarlett Johansson is back in kick-ass mode for her upcoming new film Ghost in the Shell.
The Avengers and Lucy star headlines the cinematic adaption of the anime series which has premiered its official trailer.
Directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman), the film sees Johansson play Major Motoko, a cyborg police officer who tries to take down a notorious computer hacker.
The Japanese-themed action thriller also stars Oscar winner Juliette Binoche (Three Colors trilogy, The English Patient), Michael Pitt (The Dreamers, Boardwalk Empire), Pilou Asbaek (Game of Thrones, Ben-Hur) and Takeshi’s Castle legend Takeshi Kitano.
Ghost in the Shell will be released in the UK on March 31st 2017.
